Before being elected as the Toronto Centre MPP in 2022, Kristyn Wong-Tam was an award-winning, three-term city councillor whose recognized accomplishments include the creation of new affordable housing, small business tax reforms, recreation and social development programs, community-based mental health services and revitalized parks. Kristyn served on the Toronto Preservation Board and successfully worked to save the historic Foundry buildings. A community and arts champion, Kristyn is a founding board member of the Church Wellesley Village BIA and the Toronto Biennial of Art. Committed to equity, Kristyn chaired the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee and launched Toronto’s 2SLGBTQ+ Advisory Committee. Kristyn is the Official Opposition Critic for Attorney General, Small Business, and for 2SLGBTQ+ Issues. Kristyn lives in Toronto Centre with their wife and energetic toddler.
